9.1 Business Mission

A few years ago I read the book: "Autoliberación Interior" in english "Interior Release" by Anthony de Mello, which We think is a good option, which invites us to internal reflection, and with this, if we want to, ask what is our mission? or reason for existing ?, same questions that can be asked in the case of a company.

Equally, other questions may arise within the reflection, such as what do we like? what inspires and / or motivates us in life?

We write exactly the index of the book, because each sentence seems to us by itself interesting for reflection:

Awake! Happiness is you!

Deprogram yourself! Be yourself!

Acknowledge your addition!

To love is to listen to all the instruments

Fear is learned

The treasure is within you

Being is what is worth

God is in life

Love, that wonderful

The text is life

After personal reflection, with the help of reading the previous book or other books or talking to other people who guide us or a mixture of all of the above, now we could develop a better business mission in which we can capture the reality of the reason for our business.

The mission and vision of the business should be the stars that guide our actions in the company. Not just empty words that serve to fill a requirement and give an appearance of professionalism to clients.

The mission would be the here and now, and the vision; Tomorrow, The future, what do we aspire to? Where do we want to go?

The important thing is to execute the mission in a practical way, in which we really express our thinking with simple words and that the collaborators understand them so that they can represent them to clients.

For example, the mission of a transport company could be: "transport their clients to their different destinations safely and comfortably". Safety and comfort are values. We have other values ​​such as: perseverance, fraternity and kindness, among others.

Additionally, we can incorporate economic and shareholder aspects into the mission.
