Based on Henry Mintzberg's book "Mintzberg and the Direction", we can say that something elementary regarding the cerebral hemispheres is their classification in the left hemisphere and the right hemisphere. The first is the analytical and logical. The second is the artistic and intuitive. Likewise, we believe that direction is an art, it involves cold data but also the heartbeat of the individual. In our opinion, the ideal is to find a balance between both aspects of the person, with which the shareholders, governing bodies, boards of directors, directors, managers and supervisors will be in a better position to make short, medium and long term decisions.
A transcendent element that we can incorporate in decision making is the Coordination that is necessary to direct the work teams and to pass the information from top to bottom within the organization and of course laterally within the various departments inside the organization. The larger the organization, the greater will be the efforts to align all of it to the same general objectives without forgetting the objectives of each area.
Likewise, the Perception of Individuals shapes or influences their Decision Making. As Aldous Huxley said "Perception is the Gateway of the Senses". By the way an excellent book by this author is "Brave New World" in Spanish "Un mundo Feliz". A book that seemed futuristic twenty years ago, but now its paragraphs are reaching us, today they are coming true. Also "1984" by George Orwell comes in handy for what we are living in times of "Covid19".
Returning to the main topic, our brain receives external Data, processes it; according to their beliefs, paradigms, experiences, life and academic formations, filters, among others, to later expel them to reality, or we can say, they are the actions taken derived from our particular decision-making.
